Adhesives & Sealants

We offer a range of acrylic and styrene acrylic emulsions with value added features for adhesives and sealants for use in architectural, construction, laminating and packaging markets. Some of the special features include outstanding adhesion to metal and plastic substrates, compatibility with other resins such as polychloroprene dispersions and tackifying resins, pressure sensitive adhesive properties, excellent clarity and cleanliness, freeze thaw stability and low temperature flexibility.

Our sister company, Color Corporation of America (CCA), offers the NovoColor® IP line of near zero-VOC colorants. With more than 30 colored pigments to choose from, this line works well in most waterborne sealants and adhesives.

Wood Flooring

EPS offers a variety of solvent-borne and water-borne resins for wood coatings with a special emphasis on wood flooring. We provide stain vehicles as well as numerous oxidizable systems to meet a variety of VOC levels including 350 g/L and 275 g/L. CCA also offers several colorant lines for use in various coatings for wood flooring applications, including ExacTint® and OptiColor® XP for solvent-borne coatings and NovoColor IP for waterborne finishes.

Cementitious

EPS Architectural acrylic emulsions for the Concrete Coatings Market offer superior performance for Primers, Wall and Floor Paints, Stains and Sealers, Cure and Seal applications, and Concrete Admixtures. EPS Concrete Coatings emulsions deliver excellent efflorescence resistance, early water resistance, excellent gloss retention, and non-blushing performance. Emulsions for Cure and Seal applications provide excellent moisture retention and acid and alkali resistance. Emulsions for Concrete Admixtures provide high alkali stability, excellent adhesion and bond strength and improved flow properties. And EPS acrylic emulsions for the Concrete Coatings Market offer these superior properties at today's low VOC requirements. In addition, CCA offers select inorganic colorants from its conventional and low VOC POS lines of colorant.

Industrial Maintenance and OEM

EPS offers a range of acrylic and styrene acrylic emulsions for DTM coatings applications. These versatile products can be formulated to give coatings with an outstanding balance of adhesion, gloss and corrosion resistance. A number of products can be formulated at <100 g/l VOC while maintaining excellent application and film properties.

The NovoColor IP line of low VOC colorants, offered through CCA, fits the specific needs of the Industrial Maintenance Coatings markets. CCA also carries OptiColor XP and OptiColor IP colorants, especially suited to AIM and General Industrial markets where solvent-borne 2K urethanes and epoxies and single component alkyd and nitrocellulose-based products are used.

Architectural

EPS Architectural acrylic emulsions offer superior performance properties at very low VOC and are designed for direct application to challenging substrates such as concrete, chalky surfaces, glossy surfaces, and ferrous and non-ferrous metals. EPS Architectural emulsion choices include a wide range of 100% acrylic and styrene acrylic emulsions with proprietary adhesion technology and unique processing capabilities to offer the best polymer choices with value-added features, including superior adhesion to multiple substrates, early water resistance, block resistance and abrasion resistance.

The EPS Architectural exterior exposure test fence program ensures that exterior durability properties such as grain-crack resistance, chalk adhesion and dirt pickup resistance are never compromised, even at today's low VOC levels.

CCA offers both conventional Universals and NovoColor II low VOC colorants, including standard and high strength colors for POS and in-plant applications. CCA also carries the NovoColor IP line of low VOC in-plant colorants in a broad range of colors for use in virtually all types of waterborne architectural coatings.
